Fayum Portrait wall art - Female

The Fayum portraits are unique examples of the Hellenistic as well as the Roman period of Egypt.  They are distinguished by a particular naturalism, an attempt to capture reality in an impressive way. This kind of painting was begun by Apelli, a Greek painter of the 4th century BC. century and personal friend and portrait of Alexander the Great.

I have collaborated with Michaela Georgiou to pay homage to these works by producing a series of Fayum Portrait decor.
