Saint Irene Chrysovalantou performed many miracles and healed many souls. As the story goes, an Angel appeared and presented her with three apples from Heaven. She ate the first one in tiny pieces over 40 days and cut the second and shared it with nuns that were healed. 
She is also a beautiful Saint who helps the childless receive a child.
Holy oils from the Monasteries of Greece are used to anoint the wood before each gem is meticulously placed.
